Some of the most challenging decisions in front of boards today sit where artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and geopolitics meet. Few directors have governed at that intersection at national scale. Jennifer Ewbank spent decades there, most recently as the CIA’s Deputy Director for Digital Innovation, accountable for the technology, cyber, AI, and data enterprise of one of the world’s most demanding institutions. She brings that experience into the boardroom as foresight: the ability to see risk taking shape before it reaches a headline or a disclosure.
Jennifer led the teams that created and implemented CIA's AI strategy and watched adversaries turn similar tools against their targets. She helps boards see where model risk actually lives, how vendors and third parties widen the attack surface, and what synthetic media and manipulation mean for enterprise trust.
A career spent tracking how hostile actors choose targets, move inside systems, and persist gives Jennifer the adversary’s view of cyber, and she now assists companies whose mission is detect them. She helps directors govern cyber as a question of enterprise risk and resilience, and flag the threats that warrant board attention.
The US-China technology competition, export controls, supply-chain exposure, and foreign influence now shape commercial risk directly. Jennifer helps boards read these forces and build them into vendor risk, market strategy, and crisis planning before they surface as disclosures.
At the CIA, Jennifer was accountable for enterprise technology and cyber risk across a vast and sensitive portfolio. Her remit spanned major program oversight, third-party and supply-chain risk, and the controls that protect mission-critical systems, and she led a complex global enterprise through periods of acute pressure and institutional crisis.
